Listening Curriculum

This half term we will be listening to music from across musical history. We will start with a medieval piece of music until we hear a piece from more recent times. It will be great to hear how the music has changed.  

Western Music History Timeline 

 Medieval – Until 1400 

 Renaissance  1400-1600 

 Baroque  1600- 1750 

 Classical  1750- 1830 

 Romantic   1830 - 1900 

 20th Century 1900-2000 

 Modern 2000- present
