Y2 Heroes and Villains

Y2 have had a very exciting half term. It all started with a visit to the MAST studios to experience 'Heroes and Villains' live performed by Southampton Young Concert Sinfonia, Y2 helped solve the clues in the music to find the hero.

Back at school Y2 listened to lots of themes for heroes and villains composed by John Williams and decided how he had used the music to describe these. Following this they composed a theme for a hero using tuned percussion and a villain using untuned percussion. Once they had these they explored how to structure a battle scene where the hero eventually wins.
